Fall...

Updated: Oct 25, 2019

Fall was always one of my favorite times of the year.

The leaves changing colors, cooler temperatures, football, bonfires, coffee and hunting.

But, there’s also thanksgiving and Christmas and of course, halloween.

Fall is now sad. It is a reminder of a day in November when the lives of myself and many others changed. We lost two sweet girls and one happened to be mine.

Fall is still a favorite but it is also heartbreaking. Heartbreaking to go thru without my sweet girl who also loved everything about the fall. Especially the fair. The yazoo county fair.

Why? It’s pretty great. Yo can ride everything for nothing almost and the food is just as good. Funnel cakes and cotton candy. Candied apples and lemonade. Roller coasters and Ferris wheels. Plus, merry go rounds and the moon raker. Who doesn’t love a small town fair.

Yea, there’s just as much to still love but just as much to break your heart.

If you live close, go to the yazoo fair and ride everything you can for Lezlie. Cheer on LSU for Lezlie. Dress like whatever you want and trick or treat and eat that candy.

Give thanks. Celebrate the birth of Christ and spend time with those you love and enjoy the fall. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 “

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.”

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
