Have you ever had a bible verse that just meant so much to you, I actually have a few but Psalm 46:10 is one of my favorites as well as Isaiah 57:1-2. I believe you will find the latter at the bottom of my main blog page.
But, the first is something I need to remember to do, to be still.....
Have you ever thought about the real meaning and not just what it means to you?
Be still and know that I am god. Be quiet in God's presence. Stop fighting. Look to the lord for help. If you are an enemy to God, stop fighting a battle you cannot win, In other words, Be Still.
When you are overwhelmed with life, if you feel you cannot control it, be still. Surrender to God's will.
Trust him. Sometimes it is easier said than done if you are freshly grieving the loss of your child, a diagnosis that your child has to fight hard. But, be still. Look to him for guidance. Listen. Yes, it is easier said than done but I promise you this, you will be rewarded in a way you could never imagine.
If you are fighting with someone or something, be still. Remember God is in charge. True peace can only be restored in God. Remember, he is still on the throne.
The many times I have fought with myself, I have remembered to be still. Everyday is a new beginning and I know I cannot get back what was taken on 11/11/2015 but, God remains in control and in the end, what I will receive is a good enough reason to remember who is in charge.
If you are new to this child loss group, find a scripture that you can relate to and what it means to you and then see the real meaning, I bet you won't be far off. God has us when no one else does.
Psalm 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God."
