Have you heard the song "I hope you dance"? If so, think about what it says and if not, listen to it.
Take the chance, dance. Let your kids take chances to try new things as well. Don't be the one that looks back and thinks you should have let them do this or that.
After all, no one is promised tomorrow.
If you were given 1 day to live and to think about everything you wanted to do but didn't, wouldn't you feel awfully sad. You missed so much.
Thats how it would be if your child died and you realized you kept them from living. Luckily, Lezlie may have been 15 but, we tried our best to let her live in those few years we had her. Of course, there were so many things I wish she could've done but, she did not.
She did not graduate. She did not go to prom. She did go to college and the list goes on but, she did get the chance to do a few things she wanted to and that, well that is heartwarming and heartbreaking all at the same time.
If given the chance to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance. I hope you sing in the rain. I hope you live. I hope you laugh a lot and learn a lot.
1 Corinthians 13:8 "Love never fails."
