Heroes are portrayed like Thor, Ironman, Superman, Batman, etc. but, what about that child facing a sickness head on. Facing it with faith that God will heal them. Facing it not alone, but scared because they don't know what is next. But, they continue on and they fight. That is a hero.
What about that mother or father who lost their sweet child. Getting up everyday and living life when what they want to do is quit. To give up. But they don't, they live on because their sweet angel would want them to. That is a hero.
What about that spouse that is still living after they lost a big part of their heart. Their best friend. The other parent. They live on and everyday, they get stronger but, they still miss their best friend. That is a hero.
Grandparents, brother, sisters, cousins that have lost someone so dear to them that yes, they are tired. They are ready to throw in the towel because their grandchild, their best friend, their sibling was taken and they don't know what to do but, they live on because thats what we all do. That is a hero.
That parent sitting there watching their child, sick with something that is weakening them. Something that is big, scary and they aren't really sure about. But they hold their baby's hand, they pray, they fight on because they have this faith like no other and regardless of what anyone says, they will do what they have to for their baby. That is a hero.
There are heroes all around. But they don't always wear that cape. They may not have that superpower that involves super strength, etc. but they fight every day to live. The battles they fight require superhero strength. We fight on. We live on. We are the heroes.
Michah 6:8 "Seek justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God."
