LIVING FOR LEZLIE

How can this time of year be so Merry?

Yea, we totally get why Christmas should be so merry but, what do you do when you do not feel so Merry?

Just think about it like this, the day he returns, he will wipe away all our tears and there will be no more death. There will be no more mourning. There will be no more pain and, no more crying.

But, it is hard to be Merry when you are missing a piece of of your heart.

It is hard to be Merry when all the things you used to do, you don't do anymore.

You don't get to take both your kids to see lights at Christmas. You do not get to get a list of what they want and see their excitement when they actually get that and maybe a couple extra things thrown in.

You do not get to share the holidays and spend time with family all together.

You do not get to be awakened at 4 in the morning, or earlier because they are so excited.

You just go with the motions. You just feel so robotic about it all as it is a habit now and you are just doing it without even thinking. You just aren't merry.

But, after thinking about what we get to look forward to all because of the real reason of the day, Jesus' birthday. I mean, he gave us the ultimate sacrifice and what we get to look forward to one day, that's every reason for me to be Merry again.

I cannot wait.

Revelation 21:4 "he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore”

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
