LIVING FOR LEZLIE

I can't watch you grow up...

This is pretty sad. It is heartbreaking. Not being able to see the person your child was going to become.

Not knowing how great she could have/would have been.

As your friends continue their college journeys and decide what the really want to do, I can't watch you do these things.

As your brother goes out in the world and finds a job, we cannot see you. do this.

Time is crazy. It is even crazier when you are a grieving parent. You experience yesterday and forever ago at once.

But, parents should never outlive their children.

I will probably forever wonder who you would be today. What you would look like. Would you really dye your hair bright red? Would you still love big shirts and leggings? Would you own a million pair of converse and drive a 4wd truck?

I won't know but, I sure wish I would. I wish I would know everything about you. The good and the bad. Everything. I also wish we could experience everything with you.

Living without one of your children is a very hard thing to do.

One thing that will never change is how loved you still are and how much you mean to everyone that knew you.

Until that day.....

1 Corinthians 2:9 "But, as it is written, “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
