It's just a bunch of...

Hocus Pocus. So, sometimes I like to put a crazy title to catch people's attention. That and I am currently watching Hocus Pocus. Yeah, I am late.

There are 2 weeks until Christmas and I as it gets closer, the emotions start running all over the place.

I mean, the fact that on 12/25/2019 will be the birthday of our savior and the realization of what he did for us, well, I can be Merry but I can be sad too.

Of course, I will be. Why, because I am here, alive and I get to spend another day with those that mean the world to me.

Sometimes, people get so caught up in the faux meaning of Christmas that they do not remember the real reason. And that is a bunch of hocus pocus.

Let us not get so caught up in gifts and Santa and all that jazz that we forget why we celebrate the 25th. We celebrate it because that is the day our savior was born and, he died for us. He died for us to spend eternity with our loved ones.

So yea, I will remember the reason and I pray everyone else does as well. I mean, eternity with my sweet girl, well that is pretty awesome. (amazing and all those other words that go here....)

Of course, these holidays are not the same anymore. There is always an empty chair. There is always and empty feeling and there is always tears and emotions running wild. There is also the fact that one day, because of what took place on 12/25, I can spend eternity with my sweet girl and all my other loved ones.

That, is not a bunch of hocus pocus.

Matthew 1:21. "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins."

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
