Last year I pretty much did not go to a single football game like I said and, I went to one softball game.
This year, I made my first football game and got to cheer the Raiders on. The won!!! That was awesome.
The best part, seeing all the families and it was amazing how many were there. The close knit community that surrounds Benton Academy is amazing. Being able to sit and feel at home and know that the impact Lezlie had and has on them is amazing. They still love her and welcome us like we belong and guess what, we do,
But, I did something I felt I couldn't and lived a little bit. I talked and laughed and almost cried. But, it was amazing.
Next week I tackle softball, hopefully I will make it to two games but if not, I know I will make it to one.
Learning to live after the loss of your child is hard to do. You feel every emotion under the sun and guilt tops it but, its possible. You do not have to live a lot but, you have to live a little. You have to take care of you because no one else will.
Live. Take pictures and do not regret. Keep your angel alive and I promise you this, it may not get easier but it gets doable.
Philippians 1:21 "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
