As graduation starts happening as well as summer vacations, etc., it makes you realize that life is in fact short.
Tomorrow is never promised. Even the rest of today isn't promised. You don't want to say life should be lived to its fullest but when in reality, you feel you need to.
Basically, do not regret things you did because you acted to fast but, do not regret things you didn't do because you thought to much.
I am not saying go out and do everything you think you want to before you turn 21, I am saying live. If it requires more than a second thought, you should pass on it. But, if you think twice and feel hesitant about not doing it, maybe you should.
Spend that extra dollar on that concert ticket, sporting event, pair of shoes, urban decay makeup, clothes, dessert. Bungee jump, parachute, swim with the dolphins.
Do not regret things you could've done but didn't. Do not regret not doing things with your kids. Yes, sometimes spending a little extra money will stress you out but, kids are kids once. Not forever and sometimes not until they turn 21 or 15 or 10.
Life is short. It is meant to be lived. Live it and let your kids live it too. If that means an overnight road trip to see their favorite band, do it. I promise you this, you won't regret it and, you will have memories, memories for a lifetime because sometimes memories outlive everything else.
Psalm 112:6 "For he will never be shaken; The righteous will be remembered forever."
