LIVING FOR LEZLIE

Sometimes...

Writer's picture: Carrie WhiteheadCarrie Whitehead

Sometimes, you realize that there are people you've encountered and you truly miss their friendship.

I mean, they were the one you could vent to, talk about basically nothing with and, share memories.

Sometimes, just sometimes you have to do what no one wants to do and that is apologize.

Lezlie loved everyone. If she saved your number in her phone with a heart, that meant you really meant something to her.

Trust me, I have all her contacts in my phone and the ones with a heart, well they are special.

Lezlie saw the good when some couldn't. After all, even the worlds worst person has good in them, maybe hidden deep down but, there is.

There is good in everything and everyone.

Sometimes, you realize things like this and you hope, you really hope its not too late.

When you realize is isn't, your heart sings a little. Trust me.

I remember being upset with someone before Lezlie's accident about something minor and how her death truly affected them. How they hurt like I did. How they felt they lost a family member and you know what, they did. Lezlie felt they were family.

I have made it a habit of typing when mad well today, I am typing this because I truly miss certain friends and life changes us, grief changes us but, we can fix things.

I hope I fixed something today and that Lezlie is smiling big because, she absolutely loved this person. She still does. So do I.

Proverbs 17:22 "A merry heart doth good like a medicine, but a broken spirit drieth the bones."

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
