Thankful....

Here it is, November 1, that time of year that everyone thinks they have to tell the whole wide world what they are thankful for. As if November is the only month you can be thankful.

Of course, I find that as people start the month off being "thankful", I unfollow quite a few people.

People, you should be thankful all year long.

If you lived and breathed the other 10 months before, thank GOD. Thank him all the time. Not just November.

If you haven't realized by now how much I dislike those posts, here is your happy reminder. Yes, I know the meaning of Thanksgiving but, I also know that people shared their blessings and gratitude on the actual day. You can start being thankful January 1st or the day after thanksgiving if you want to be exact. Not just November.

I am thankful all year for the memories I make with the ones I love. Regardless of how bad 2020 is, I am thankful all year to be alive. Not just the month of November.

Maybe it is because I have lost something I cannot ever get back or maybe, it is because I realize that God is doing so much for me the other 335 or 336 days of the year, depends on if leap year happens or not.

To be honest, (I am now getting out of order), 2020 has been better to me than 2015. I lost my sweet girl in 2015. In 2020, I gained the ability to do what I do best, be antisocial and chill at home. Of course, I miss NOLA but, I don't miss being more Social than I need to be.

I am thankful that God let me see another year, almost 5 years since my sweet child left. I have her bubba here, my family, my people - JJ and his kids, my job and the friends I have there and, life.

So, yes I do understand the idea of being thankful and starting it November 1 but, it seems that people forget that they should be thankful all year.

Yes, I will continue to not play into the thankful posts as I did before, but, I have lost and know what true gratitude and gratefulness and thankfulness to God is.

1 Thessalonians 5:18  says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
