LIVING FOR LEZLIE

What happens....

I am sure everyone wonders what happens when you grieve or how does it feel.

You feel like you are going absolutely crazy. You hear voices, you see visions, you think they are real then you think they are not but, are they?

It may take you forever to recover or it may not take that long. It depends on you.

You may lose friends. You may breakdown at the craziest times. You may feel ashamed, scared and definitely confused. You may become antisocial. Something I know about all to well.

There is no grieve timetable. There is no right or wrong way.

People will become impatient with you. They don't understand how you feel or what you are going through and they may be the friends you lose or they may be the ones that man up and do everything they can to help you.

What is comforting is to have someone sit and just be with you. To talk when they can or just be silent. To realize that the greatest gift is the gift of life and having that child with you for however long is/was a wonderful thing. The stronger the love the harder the grief.

Sometimes in order to cope we do crazy things. Leave the room just as it was. Dirty clothes on the floor, garbage in the can, etc. I have kept her xbox with her profile on it. Just because. I have her softball cleats and her ankle brace. Her batting glove. A bat she used. I have so many things of hers kept put up that sometimes I do think, man I am crazy but, its how I cope.

Just remember keeping or being attached to things is a way to cope and it is actually considered a good way. (I read that somewhere).

Its hard to explain the feelings that you will feel or the things that will happen, everyone is different. You will lose your faith (if you are lucky you will never experience that) but, you will gain it back. God has you if no one else does.

2 Corinthians 5:7 "Worry ends when faith begins."

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
