The time of year that people stress about because they make it about what they can or cannot buy.
The time of year that people want to be over fast because well, they just don't realize that it isn't just about gifts it is about the GIFT.
If you do not know what Christmas is about, you are really missing out.
The greatest gift ever given to us was our Savior. I mean, he gave his life for people he didn't even know. He gave his life to save us. He gave his LIFE. The greatest thing ever, really. It is better than all 15 seasons of Supernatural and getting to the last episode and finding out it is actually renewed.
It is better than a cool Mountain Dew on a hot day.
It is better than a hot bath to ease your muscles after you've been working all day.
It is better than homemade ice cream with caramel or hot fudge.
Nothing compares to the gift that so many forget about.
It is knowing that because of what he did for us, what his birth signifies that we get to see our babies again. We can see our best friends, our pets, our parents, our loved ones.....the list can go on.
So, while you are stressing about what you can't buy, remember the true meaning of this time of year and the greatest gift of all, LIFE.
