LIVING FOR LEZLIE

Search

Tomorrow...

Tomorrow will be Mallory's 20th birthday. Which is just as important now even though it is a heavenly birthday as if it was an earthly one.

You see, she will get to celebrate with her best friend. She gets to be there and Lezlie is right there with her.

How amazing it will be for them to get to celebrate another birthday together. How heartbreaking is it that those of us that love them so cannot celebrate with them.

Life is heartbreaking in many ways but, the death of a child is pretty much tops. We shouldn't have cake without Mal. We shouldn't celebrate without her. We shouldn't stand at her graveside and wish her happy birthday.

We should be able to sing to her, take her to eat, watch her open gifts and do like every young adult does when they get something they don't care for, smile and say thank you. We should be able to see the love her friends and family have for her celebrating with her.

But, we have to celebrate from afar. We have to believe she knows that we love and miss her. We have to believe that Lezlie will let her get the first piece of cake. We have to believe that regardless of how tragic or heartbreaking it is that she is not here, we will see her again.

She is happy. She is in a place that is way better than where we are. That includes those that live on the beach. You see, she is in heaven. She gets to celebrate not only with Lezlie, with Jesus.

Remember what today stands for, the meaning of Easter and do not forget that tomorrow, one of his angels will celebrate a birthday and we will be celebrating too.

Proverbs 9:11 “For through wisdom your days will be many, and years will be added to your life.”

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart;  the devout are taken away, and no one understands that the righteous are taken away to be spared from evil.  Those who walk uprightly enter into peace, they find rest as they lie in death.

Isaiah 57:1-2
